This body of work was commissioned by Artspace in New Haven, CT for a show that featured the individual and collaborative creations of three artist couples. The exhibition was curated by Jessica Buckley and Liza Statton and took place from April to June of 2009.

Our contribution was inspired by the colorful and tactile baby toys that have invaded our apartment since the arrival of our son. Our goal was to rechannel these visual energies through our artistic sensibilities (for example, my love of arrangements of precise forms, or Jesse's painterly flora and bold use of color). Through a process that involved much negotiation, a body of sculpture emerged that went beyond our individual practices, and pushed us into territory that we wouldn't have entered alone.
